The most classic and known among the summer events of Montepulciano is the Bravio delle Botti, a challenge between the eight historic districts through the streets of this hamlet that still retains its medieval layout. Now at its 47th edition, this event, highly expected by the citizens and visitors of Montepulciano, covers the last week of August, concluding on Sunday 25 with the actual race.

Starting on Saturday 17 of August with the proclamation of the Gonfaloniere, on the 18th there will be the presentation and exhibition of the Panno del Bravìo and on Thursday 22 the traditional Corteo dei Ceri in a Montepulciano with the electricity turned off to give light to the streets only with the torches. Finally, the traditional appointments on Sunday 25 that, from morning to evening, will make the day unforgettable.

Looking forward to the Bravio, the tradition of the Bruscello Poliziano popular theater will be staged in the Piazza Grande of Montepulciano every evening from Sunday 11 to August 15 with the show Pia de ’Tolomei by the Compagnia Popolare del Bruscello.
